JED’s Local is looking for dependable, hardworking cooks to join our kitchen team. We are a busy neighborhood restaurant serving po’boys, burgers and Louisiana favorites. We take pride in serving great food and working together to provide excellent service.
Previous restaurant kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. We're looking for someone who works well under pressure, takes pride in their work and is eager to develop their skills.

What You’ll Do
- Prepare and cook menu items according to our recipes and quality standards.
- Work efficiently during busy lunch, dinner and brunch shifts.
- Keep your station clean, stocked and organized.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Work closely with your teammates to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
- Maintain consistent food quality and presentation.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous restaurant kitchen experience preferred, but not required.
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude and dependable attendance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining quality.
- Good communication and teamwork.
- Knowledge of food safety and cleanliness, or a willingness to learn.
- Interest in learning new skills and taking on more responsibility.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.

Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds.
- Able to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work scheduled shifts.
