Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs, updating medical histories, and verifying insurance information to facilitate accurate documentation.
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as obtaining ekg's and administering medications
- Support the outpatient services that we provide by managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and meeting our primary care patient needs.
- Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient encounters, update records, and ensure compliance with privacy regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols for infection control and medication administration.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive experience from check-in to discharge.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in outpatient primary care medicine is a plus.
- Knowledge of medications, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and medical terminology is essential for accurate documentation and coding.
- Demonstrated ability to take vital signs accurately and perform basic clinical procedures such medication administration and obtain ekg's.
- Experience working with EHR systems in outpatient or inpatient environments is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced primary care setting.
- Excellent communication skills focused on patient care and providing each patient with an excellent patient care experience with us. We value theability to collaborate effectively and engage with other staff in a friendly and effective manner.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
