We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our busy family practice. This is a fast-paced, high-volume medical office, and the ideal candidate is fast-paced, detail-oriented, and able to anticipate physician and patient needs while maintaining smooth patient flow throughout the office.
Qualifications:
- Certified or experienced Medical Assistant (preferred)
- Previous experience working in a medical office (required)
- Family practice or primary care experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Ability to multitask and work quickly without sacrificing thoroughness or patient care
- Strong observational skills and awareness of office flow and provider needs
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting throughout the day
- Phlebotomy experience preffered but not required
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance
This is a large practice with multiple providers who see a high number of patients daily. The ideal candidate naturally stays one step ahead, recognizes what needs to be done before being asked, and thrives in a fast-moving clinical environment. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, keeps patients moving efficiently, and helps create a smooth, productive workflow for both providers and patients.
Applicants without prior medical field experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Room patients efficiently and accurately obtaining vital signs, histories, and completes medication reconciliation
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and patient care needs
- Anticipate provider needs and prepare rooms, supplies, and documentation ahead of time
- Maintain continuous patient flow and keep physician rooms occupied and organized
- Float between providers and departments as needed to support daily operations
- Perform phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and other clinical duties as assigned
- Document patient information accurately in the EMR system
- Clean and stock exam rooms while ensuring compliance with infection control standards
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff to ensure quality care and efficiency
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
