Industrial Engineer
Pay: $40/hr (possibly more depending on experience)
Location: Shreveport, LA
Schedule: Full-time, rotating schedule (must be willing to work days, nights, and weekends)
About the Role
We are seeking an Industrial Engineer with 480 experience and hands-on plant operations experience. This position plays a key role in improving production processes, increasing efficiency, and supporting safe and reliable plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply industrial engineering principles to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes.
- Utilize 480 experience to support workflow analysis, time studies, and process optimization.
- Work closely with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to improve plant performance.
- Develop and implement process improvements to reduce downtime, scrap, and inefficiencies.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify trends and recommend solutions.
- Assist in capacity planning, production scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Six Sigma projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required.
- 480 experience required (capstone, internship, or documented project-based engineering experience).
- Previous experience working in a plant or manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
- Ability to interpret technical data, process flows, and performance metrics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
