Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for innovative menu creation. This role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety standards, and efficient service in a fast-paced environment. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for excellence and fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.

Duties

  • Lead and manage the entire kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Oversee menu planning, development, and execution with a focus on creativity, presentation, and customer satisfaction
  • Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and consistency
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas
  • Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail and timely delivery
  • Oversee dietary department requirements to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions
  • Monitor shift management to optimize staffing levels and operational efficiency
  • Train new staff members on food handling, safety procedures, and company policies
  • Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement

Skills

  • Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining and catering environments
  • Proven supervisory experience leading kitchen teams in high-volume settings
  • Expertise in menu planning, food production, and food service management
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, inventory control, and food cost optimization
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
  • Deep understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
  • Experience in banquet service, restaurant management, and shift management
  • Skilled in food preparation techniques across various cuisines with attention to detail in presentation
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry best practices including customer service excellence and food handling protocols
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
