About the Role:
As a key member of our team at JDH Contracting Inc., the Drilling Superintendent will play a vital part in ensuring the success of our drilling field operations. This individual will be responsible for managing multiple sites, setting high expectations for safety, quality, and schedule performance, while also developing a strong team.
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in foundation vertical drilling. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a hands-on attitude.
Main Responsibilities Include:
- Forming and leading a discipline team, delegating responsibilities and setting goals
- Assisting in the hiring, training, and development of craft personnel (drillers, foremen, laborers)
- Developing and maintaining open communication with crews, field engineers/coordinators, Safety, Quality, and clients
- Preparing work plans and scheduling to determine manpower levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements
- Examining/inspecting field conditions and troubleshooting problems, correcting inaccuracies, and implementing cost-saving measures
- Monitoring job safety and providing training and awareness for all personnel
- Monitoring quality standards and ensuring technical specifications are met
- Assisting with developing entire job schedules
- Advising senior-level staff on potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc., and assisting in resolving such problems as required
