What you'll tackle
- Perform on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical power systems and equipment: transformers, circuit breakers, LV/MV switchgear, and PLC-based controls.
- Run diagnostics to pinpoint technical issues, minimize downtime, and restore stable system performance.
- Support startups and commissioning, confirming systems operate to spec and meet customer requirements.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact during service visits—answer questions, resolve issues, and keep customers informed.
- Provide basic operator training on system use and preventative maintenance.
- Document service activities thoroughly, including test reports and performance feedback.
- Leverage remote troubleshooting tools where appropriate to speed resolution.
- Collaborate with fellow technicians to coordinate work and deliver on schedules.
- Follow company safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and industry standards; maintain relevant safety certifications through training.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred.
- NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, or other relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- 3–5 years of hands-on field service experience with power systems, electrical equipment, or industrial controls.
- Proven capability in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, including transformers and circuit breakers.
- Diagnose and solve complex problems efficiently.
- Comfort with field service management software, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Clear, customer-friendly communication skills.
- Self-directed with strong prioritization in fast-paced environments.
- Hands-on experience with low- and medium-voltage systems.
- Foundational knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, and protective relays.
- Location: Various.
- Frequent travel with overnight stays to customer sites and JDC locations across the country.
- Regular daily/weekly travel across the Region to customer sites and internal field service locations.
- Occasional travel to Hackettstown, NJ to meet with leadership.

Salary : $90,000 - $140,000
