Responsibilities
- Prepare and decorate cakes, pastries, and confections with precision and artistic flair, ensuring each creation meets high standards of presentation and taste
- Handle food production tasks including mixing, baking, portioning, and packaging baked goods for retail or catering purposes
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
- Assist in kitchen operations by organizing ingredients, managing supplies, and ensuring cleanliness of work areas
- Support catering events by preparing specialty items and ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge, answering questions, and assisting with special requests
- Follow recipes accurately while demonstrating knife skills and culinary techniques to produce consistent results
Experience
- Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts within a bakery, restaurant, or food production environment
- Strong background in food handling, safety protocols, and kitchen operations in the food industry
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques including cooking, food packaging, and presentation
- Prior experience working in catering or restaurant settings is highly desirable
