Overview:
One of the largest insurance brokerage firms in the world is expanding its tax department and seeking a Tax Attorney to join its fast-growing tax insurance practice. This role sits at the intersection of tax law, high-stakes deal-making, and risk mitigation; offering intellectually stimulating work and a front-row seat to major transactions across private equity, real estate, asset management, and corporate M&A. This is a strategic, client-facing position ideal for a Big Law attorney looking for a more dynamic, commercial role with significant visibility and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on tax risks related to domestic and cross-border transactions, restructurings, and corporate operations.
- Collaborate closely with M&A advisors, clients, underwriters, and internal stakeholders to assess and structure tax insurance solutions.
- Evaluate complex tax issues and provide guidance on coverage, underwriting considerations, and deal structure.
- Lead negotiations of tax insurance policies and serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Help shape strategy, best practices, and operational processes within a rapidly expanding tax insurance platform.
Qualifications:
- JD required with 3 years of tax experience in Big Law (M&A or transactional tax strongly preferred).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues to non-tax professionals.
- Client-facing comfort, commercial mindset, and interest in a more strategic, business-oriented role.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
