Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Trust Officer to support the administration of personal trust accounts within our growing wealth management practice. This role is ideal for a professional with strong organizational skills, a customer service mindset, and experience in trust or financial services operations. Unlike traditional trust officer positions, this role is not focused on sales or business development. Instead, it centers on the day-to-day administration of trusts and delivering high-quality service to clients, beneficiaries, and internal partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer a book of personal trust and estate accounts under established policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Serve as a primary administrative contact for clients, beneficiaries, advisors, and attorneys regarding account activity, documentation, and workflow.
- Coordinate trust distributions, payments, account maintenance, and recordkeeping.
- Assist with reviewing and interpreting governing documents, including wills, trust agreements, and related documentation.
- Monitor account cash levels, investment activity, and required reporting schedules.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions, onboarding documentation, and compliance tasks.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams—investments, operations, compliance, and client service—to support seamless account administration.
- Prepare routine correspondence, reports, and filings as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trust administration processes and applicable regulations.
- Support periodic audits, internal reviews, and operational improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 2 years of experience in trust administration, wealth management operations, banking, or related financial services.
- Strong understanding of trust account processes, fiduciary responsibilities, and basic regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential client information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with trust accounting or wealth management systems.
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
