We are partnered with a leading insurance company providing innovative solutions across the specialty insurance and risk management space. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality service and expertise while maintaining a strong culture of collaboration, integrity, and innovation. They are seeking a Tax Attorney with strong technical experience in M&A tax to join their growing tax team in New York.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal and tax support on M&A transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and restructurings.
• Advise on tax-efficient structuring strategies for domestic and cross-border deals.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders in legal, finance, and corporate development to assess tax implications of strategic initiatives.
• Manage relationships with outside counsel and advisors as needed.

Qualifications

• JD required; LLM in Taxation preferred.
• Licensed to practice law in New York (or ability to waive in).
• 5–10 years of M&A tax experience at a Big Four accounting firm or top-tier law firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. federal income taxation of corporate and partnership transactions.
• Experience advising on cross-border tax issues a plus.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
