Overview
Our client, a well-established commercial bank, is seeking an experienced Senior Trust Administration Officer to manage and oversee a portfolio of complex trust and fiduciary relationships. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and fiduciary standards while providing high-quality service to clients and beneficiaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer a portfolio of personal, charitable, and corporate trusts in accordance with governing documents and applicable laws.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, beneficiaries, and internal partners, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Review and interpret trust instruments, wills, and other legal documents to ensure proper administration.
- Coordinate with investment, tax, and legal professionals to ensure accurate management of trust assets.
- Monitor trust account performance, distributions, and reporting to maintain compliance and meet client objectives.
- Identify and mitigate fiduciary risks; ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior trust officers and administrative staff.
- Participate in trust committee meetings and contribute to policy and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in trust administration or fiduciary services, preferably within a commercial bank or trust company.
- Strong knowledge of trust law, estate planning, fiduciary accounting, and relevant tax considerations.
- Proven ability to manage complex relationships and sensitive client matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Professional designations such as CTFA or equivalent are preferred but not required.
