Job Title: Transaction Tax Manager

Job Summary:

A brokerage firm specializing in sophisticated financial solutions is seeking a Transaction Tax Manager to join its dynamic team in New York City. This role is integral to evaluating tax liabilities and renewable tax credit opportunities for transactions across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of transaction-related tax liabilities, focusing on identifying risks and opportunities.
• Evaluate and structure renewable energy tax credits to optimize transaction value.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tax compliance and strategic alignment in mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
• Draft detailed tax memos and reports for stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting renewable tax credits and transaction tax strategies.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field (CPA or JD preferred).
• Advanced degree in Taxation (e.g., MST, LLM) is a plus.
• 5 years of transaction tax experience, with a focus on M&A, ideally from a Big Four accounting firm.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects effectively.
