What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Credit Underwriter position at JCW Group?
We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Credit Underwriter on behalf of our client, a New Jersey based regional bank. This position requires 2 years of experience in a banking environment, focusing on independent risk assessment and deal structuring.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial analysis of commercial loan requests, including cash flow, debt service coverage, and global cash flow.
- Evaluate risk factors for CRE property types (multifamily, industrial, office) and C&I operating companies.
- Prepare credit memorandums for loan committee approval.
- Assist in the underwriting of SBA 7(a) and 504 loan products.
- Perform annual reviews and monitor covenant compliance for an existing loan portfolio.
- Partner with relationship managers to gather necessary borrower documentation.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in commercial credit analysis or underwriting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience with SBA lending programs preferred.
- Proficiency in financial spreading software and Excel.
- Knowledge of New Jersey commercial real estate markets.
Salary : $70,000 - $100,000
