JCW is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading global investment bank with a diversified platform seeking an Audit Manager to lead and execute audit coverage for the firm’s Capital Markets business. This individual will play a key role in assessing risks and controls across sales & trading, underwriting, market risk, liquidity, operations, and related support functions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with deep knowledge of capital markets products and a strong understanding of regulatory expectations in the U.S. This is a hybrid opportunity with 2 days in the firm's Stamford, CT office.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute end-to-end audits for Capital Markets business lines, including planning, fieldwork, testing, reporting, and issue validation.
- Evaluate the adequacy of internal controls, risk management practices, and governance processes across trading, underwriting, and market-facing activities.
- Partner with global audit colleagues to deliver coordinated audit coverage and share insights across regions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior business partners while maintaining an independent and objective perspective.
- Monitor emerging risks, regulatory developments (e.g., SEC, FINRA, CFTC), and industry trends impacting Capital Markets.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or risk/control roles within capital markets or a global financial institution.
- Strong understanding of traded products (equities, fixed income, derivatives), market risk concepts, and front-to-back processes.
- Knowledge of U.S. banking and securities regulations and expectations from regulators.
- Experience leading audits and managing deliverables in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
