We are excited to be adding to our talented and dedicated Management team. This position is located at our corporate office in Seaford, NY.

SUMMARY
The Human Resources Manager will assist the Director of Human Resources in utilizing and maintaining the UKG HRIS system in order to monitor employee credentials, create and manage disciplinary action, manage leaves, track accidents and injuries, create and manage employee reviews, and employee relations incidents. The HR Manager will be responsible for implementing HR policies and procedures, acting as a liaison between upper management and employees, supporting the performance review process, resolving conflict among employees and ensuring compliance with local, state and federal employment laws. We offer flexible hours, friendly environment and a casual dress code.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employee Relations

· Serve as point person for employee questions on labor policies, compensation, employment policies, benefits, working conditions, promotions and opportunities, and other human resource questions.

· Serve as point person responding to labor and other governmental authorities' inquiries.

· On behalf of the company, regularly communicate with employees regarding human resource policy changes and human resource initiatives.

· Advising and supporting Operations in difficult matters, such as refereeing disputes, terminating employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.

· Regulatory compliance documentation and reporting. Following up on that all proper documentation is submitted on a timely basis. Conduct frequent audits of outstanding required employee paperwork.

· Maintaining UKG documentation, creating uploading processes for the department managers on proper disciplinary steps

Human Resource Information System ("HRIS") - UKG

· Manage employee information record keeping maintenance and updates on safety, welfare, wellness, health and environmental compliance and record keeping, coordinating with Operations, Compliance & Safety Manager, Senior Administrator and Finance.

· Coordinate with Finance benefits, including healthcare - and compensation changes and updates to payroll.

· Coordinate with Operations and Compliance & Safety Manager regarding job site incidents and Workers’ Compensation claims.

Training & Development

· Coordinate HRIS with operations training.

· Maintain and advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommended changes.

· Management Development: develop and implement training for supervision and management.

Departmental Development

· Coordinate with Operations new job recruitment, interviews and selections.

· Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.

· Assist Operations in developing performance goal setting and performance metrics.

· Assist Operations in implementing associates review and productivity analysis.

· Work with Director of HR & Operations Managers to develop initiatives designed to increase retention and improve employee experience.

· Support Operations initiatives to develop and implement employee recognition, rewards, awards and A Great Place to Work initiative.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

· Knowledge and experience in compensation, recruitment, employee relations, employee engagement, and employee development.

· General knowledge of various employment laws and regulatory practices and experience working with a corporate employment law attorney.

· Better than average written and spoken communication skills.

· Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills.

· Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the executive management team that provides overall company leadership and direction.

· Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office environment and skill in Human Resource Information Systems.

· Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources recognition and engagement programs and processes.

· Evidence of the ability to practice and coach organization managers in the practice of a high level of confidentiality.

· Excellent organizational management skills.

Education:

· Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business or Organization Development.

· Minimum of seven years of experience in Human Resource positions.

· Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training and preventive labor relations preferred.
