Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead our HR initiatives and foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace environment. Duties
- Lead talent acquisition efforts by developing sourcing strategies, managing applicant tracking systems (ATS), conducting interviews, and overseeing onboarding processes including employee orientation.
- Manage employee relations by addressing conflicts, facilitating communication, and implementing programs to enhance workplace harmony.
- Oversee performance management systems, including employee evaluations, goal setting, and succession planning to support continuous development.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws such as FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), labor law regulations, and workers' compensation policies.
- Administer benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, payroll processing through platforms like Paychex, Dayforce, or ADP, and manage benefits administration.
- Develop organizational design initiatives to optimize structure, improve process efficiencies, and support change management efforts across departments.
- Supervise HRIS (Human Resources Information System) platforms such as Workday or SAP SuccessFactors for data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform strategic decisions.
- Facilitate training & development programs aimed at enhancing employee skills, leadership capabilities, and overall human capital management.
- Manage HR program implementation related to employee engagement, conflict resolution, OSHA compliance, and process improvement initiatives.
Experience
- Must have worked as an HR Specialist in a nonprofit
- Proven experience in human resources management with a strong background in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
- Must be able to work and communicate in a team environment with the Bookkeeper, Payroll Specialist, Program Director and Executive Director.
- Must be familiar with FAMS through OCFS
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in process improvement initiatives.
