Accounts Payable Specialist
JCG is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, vendor records, payments, reconciliations, and other accounting support. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with numbers while being part of a collaborative team.
What You'll Do
- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, including reviewing documentation, coding, approvals, and project allocation.
- Enter invoices and related information into the accounting system.
- Verify invoices and supporting documentation according to company procedures.
- Reconcile vendor statements and research and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor company credit card activity for receipts, coding, and reconciliation.
- Process or assist with vendor payments in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain accurate vendor records and accounting documentation.
- Assist with 1099 preparation and other year-end reporting.
- Assist with daily accounting transactions and reconciliations.
- Maintain organized accounting records and files.
- Handle confidential financial, employee, client, and company information appropriately.
- Provide support to the accounting team and assist with other accounting and administrative duties as needed.

Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong computer and data-entry skills.
- Ability to follow established procedures and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively with others in a professional and cooperative manner.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred:
- 2 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience.
- Experience processing invoices and reconciling vendor accounts.
- Experience with 1099 reporting.
- QuickBooks Online experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Associate degree or coursework in accounting, finance, or a related field.
