JCCA is seeking  compassionate and skilled Licensed Behavioral Health Professionals to join our Youth Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team.

In this role, you will provide intensive, community-based mental health services to youth ages 10–21 with significant behavioral health needs, helping them remain safely in their homes, schools, and communities.

About the Program

JCCA’s Youth ACT program delivers highly coordinated, multidisciplinary care to youth at risk of hospitalization or transitioning back from inpatient or residential settings.

Position Summary

The Licensed Behavioral Health Professionals provides individualized, strengths-based clinical services to youth and families, addressing complex emotional, behavioral, and psychosocial needs.

This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a team-based, fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering impactful, community-based care.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Services (75%)

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy
  • Conduct assessments, support diagnoses, and develop treatment plans
  • Deliver crisis intervention and ongoing case monitoring
  • Utilize evidence-based practices tailored to each child and family

Team Collaboration (10%)

  • Participate in team meetings and clinical supervision
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care

Documentation (15%)

  • Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation

On-Call Responsibilities

  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (evenings/weekends)
  • Respond to crisis situations as needed
  • Additional compensation provided for on-call coverage

Qualifications

  • NYS License: LMSW, LMHC or LMFT
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with:
    • Youth with serious emotional disturbances
    • Complex family systems
    • Behavioral health or crisis settings
  • Experience with evidence-based treatment models
  • Strong clinical assessment and crisis intervention skills
  • Ability to engage youth and families with complex needs
  • Cultural competency and commitment to equity and inclusion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to learn new platforms
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), and federal guidelines
  • Understanding of:
    • Trauma-informed care
    • Social Determinants of Health
    • Racial equity and social justice frameworks
  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) highly preferred
  • Experience with ACT or community-based intensive services
     

Salary: $62,400 - $62,920 - differential offered for NYS license and Spanish language skills
