About JCCA:
JCCA is a leading child and family services organization committed to empowering youth and families to build strong, healthy futures. We are currently seeking passionate, skilled Socio-Therapists to join our Enhanced Family Foster Care (EFFC) team.
Position Overview:
As a Socio-Therapist, you’ll play a critical role in supporting therapeutic youth and their families by creating individualized behavioral plans that promote healing, growth, and long-term stability. You will collaborate closely with clinical teams, caregivers, and community partners to ensure that every child receives the care, support, and resources they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement customized behavior plans in partnership with youth and families, addressing behavioral, psychological, and permanency needs.
- Monitor child safety, well-being, and permanency outcomes through regular casework contact and service provision.
- Maintain timely and thorough documentation including FASPs, psychosocial assessments, home studies, and court reports.
- Actively participate in Family Court Hearings, Family Team Conferences, and permanency planning meetings.
- Deliver crisis intervention and support during emergencies.
- Utilize evidence-based practices with youth, families, and foster care providers.
- Coordinate services with JCCA departments and community-based providers, including Behavioral Health and Health Homes.
- Provide family planning counseling to youth ages 12 and engage foster parents in the discussion.
- Use Family Finding methods to help connect youth with long-term supports and connections.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required (BSW preferred).
- Prior experience working with adolescents and families in a social services setting.
- Strong commitment to youth development, strength-based practice, and trauma-informed care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with a strong ability to meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Comfortable working with a diverse range of clients and colleagues.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings, based on family needs.
- Must be able to travel throughout NYC via public transportation or agency vehicle.

Hourly Range: $25.74 - $27.31
Salary : $26 - $27
