Position Summary: 

The Assistant Director will be responsible for the management and supervision of a caseload of Other Licensed Professionals (OLPs) who provide Children & Family Treatment & Support Services (CFTSS) at JCCA's Residential Treatment Center and programs within the Westchester area. This role includes direct supervision of clinicians and oversight of the Center for Healing Sexually Abused and Exploited Children, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, and evidence-based services to children and families. The Assistant Director will support the clinical team in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a therapeutic environment aligned with JCCA’s mission.

The Assistant Director will be responsible for the management and supervision of a caseload of Other Licensed Professionals (OLPs) who provide Children & Family Treatment & Support Services (CFTSS) at JCCA's Residential Treatment Center and programs within the Westchester area. This role requires a strong clinical foundation and excellent supervisory skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based services to children and families.

 

Responsibilities

Clinical Supervision:

  • Provide ongoing individual and group supervision to OLPs, including regular meetings to review cases, discuss clinical challenges, and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Directly supervise clinicians assigned to the Center for Healing, ensuring specialized trauma-informed care is delivered effectively.
  • Monitor OLPs' clinical work, including progress notes, treatment plans, and service delivery, to ensure quality and compliance with agency standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., Article 29i).
  • Guide OLPs in developing and implementing effective treatment plans, including Assessments, Psychosocial Evaluations and Safety Plans
  • Ensure timely completion of all required documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and billing records.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to OLPs.
  • Initiate and implement appropriate disciplinary actions when necessary, in accordance with agency policy.

 

  • Program Management:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and agency policies, including Article 29i mandates (e.g., Teen Intervene, Comprehensive Treatment Planning).
    • Oversee the development and implementation of new admissions and discharges, ensuring compliance with CFTSS and A29i requirements.
    • Monitor service delivery to ensure that it is effective, efficient, and meets the needs of children and families.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as medical, education, and residential, to ensure seamless service integration and case coordination.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, such as rounds, briefings, MDT (Multidisciplinary Team) meetings, and red flag meetings.
    • Oversee the clinical operations of the Center for Healing, ensuring alignment with trauma-informed best practices and regulatory requirements.

 

  • Clinical Services:
    • Provide direct clinical services, such as individual, group, or family therapy, as needed.
    • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all clinical sessions.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for clients.
    • Provide Training and Clinical Support for Treatment Providers working with Problem Sexualized Behaviors (PSB), Commercial Sexual Exploitation (CSEC) and Child Sexual Abuse (CSA)

 

  • Administrative Duties:
    • Ensure that OLPs complete all required trainings and maintain necessary certifications.
    • Monitor service delivery to ensure that billing targets are met and timely reconcilliation.
    • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling, data entry, and report generation.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions and service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Education & Licensure:
    • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited university.
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of two years of experience supervising clinical staff.
    • Experience working with children and families in a mental health or human services setting.
    • Experience with Article 29i regulations and best practices in child and family therapy.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Excellent clinical judgment, assessment, and diagnostic skills.
    • Strong supervisory, mentorship, and coaching skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.  
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bilingual/Spanish speaking.
    • Experience working with adolescents in a residential treatment setting.
    • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

 

Salary: $80K
