JC Wallace House is a adult residential facility looking for Mental Health Workers to join our team in our Grande Terrace, CA community. We provide transitional housing and resident centered care services for clients suffering from mental health, addiction, and/or dual diagnosis. The ideal candidate wants to help break the cycle of clients moving from crisis centers to housing instability and back to crisis centers.
Job description:
The Mental Health Worker provides support to ensure client psychiatric and physical nursing care needs are met. This role is essential in the promoting and maintain a healthy, safe, and therapeutic treatment setting that allows the recovery process to occur for each client. You’ll function as a member of our care team, evaluating, intervening, and providing therapeutic interaction with clients while they are in our program.
The Mental Health worker provides direct care to clients, observes, records and reports client behaviors. Under the direction of the leadership at the facility, this role is responsible to ensure clients are actively participating in our programs.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate, observe, document, and communicate the needs of clients.
- Participate in creation of individualized treatment plans according to clients’ needs and circumstances.
- Facilitate a variety of mental health, processing, and skills-based groups.
- Meets with residents regularly to provide brief counseling, individual therapy, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Requirements:
- The applicant needs to be registered with BBS (Board of Behavioral Health)
