JC Protection LLC is seeking a dependable, professional, and experienced security professional to join our team in a hybrid position combining Residential Security Officer and Field Security Supervisor responsibilities.

This position provides four regularly scheduled workdays per week and combines residential security duties with field-level supervisory responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a vital role in safeguarding residential communities while supporting, supervising, and maintaining the professional standards of the JC Protection LLC client portfolio throughout the five boroughs of New York City.

Position Schedule & Compensation Residential Security Officer – Highend Residential Property

• Days: Tuesday & Wednesday
• Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Starting Rate: $26.82 per hour
• 16 regularly scheduled hours per week
• No driving or field travel is required for this portion of the position.

Field Security Supervisor

• Regular Days: Monday & Friday
• Hours: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Starting Rate: $23.00 per hour
• 16 regularly scheduled hours per week
• Driving and travel between JC Protection LLC client locations are required during Field Security Supervisor assignments.
• Fill in for the full-time Field Security Supervisor's 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM shift when needed.
• At times some schedule flexibility may be required based on operational needs, emergencies, meetings, or coverage requirements.

Total Regular Schedule: Approximately 32 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours when providing Field Supervisor coverage.

Residential Security Officer Responsibilities

While assigned to the** residential property**, the Security Officer will provide professional security and support services within an active residential environment.

• Maintain a professional, alert, and visible security presence throughout the property.
• Provide scheduled meal relief coverage for union doormen, assuming lobby and access-control responsibilities during their meal periods.
• Monitor and control access for residents, visitors, vendors, contractors, and deliveries.
• Conduct scheduled interior and exterior security patrols and scan designated NFC tags to document completed patrols.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, security concerns, and maintenance issues.
• Interact professionally with Property Management, building staff, union personnel, residents, and emergency services when required.
• Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, resident concerns, and requests for assistance.
• Complete accurate and detailed incident reports and daily activity reports when required.
• Assist Property Management with the delivery or distribution of resident mail when requested.
• Follow all site-specific post orders, building procedures, and JC Protection LLC policies.
• Maintain a professional and customer-service-oriented approach when interacting with residents and guests.
• Must be capable of standing and/or walking for extended periods of time while performing lobby and patrol responsibilities.
• Must be capable of working independently with limited direct supervision and exercising sound judgment when addressing situations on the property.

Field Security Supervisor Responsibilities

The Field Security Supervisor serves as an important operational link between Security Officers assigned in the field, site Supervisors, clients, and JC Protection LLC management.

Field Supervision & Site Inspections

• Perform routine and unscheduled site visits to inspect and supervise Security Officers in the field.
• Travel between assigned JC Protection LLC client locations throughout the five boroughs of New York City.
• Support and supervise operations at remote client sites by conducting on-site visits to confirm that contractual obligations, post orders, company policies, and client requirements are being met and adhered to.
• Verify that Security Officers are present, alert, properly uniformed, and performing all assigned responsibilities.
• Inspect posts to ensure professional standards are being maintained, including officer hygiene, grooming, uniform appearance, conduct, and overall post presentation.
• Ensure officers understand and comply with site-specific post orders and JC Protection LLC policies and procedures.
• Document site inspections, deficiencies, incidents, corrective actions, and other relevant field observations.

Staffing, Call-Outs & Coverage

• During Field Security Supervisor days must be able and willing to hold a security post if and when call-outs occur or until the dispatcher sends coverage to the post.
• Assist in addressing call-outs, lateness, scheduling conflicts, and other staffing or coverage issues.
• Fill in for the full-time Field Security Supervisor's 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM shift when needed.
• Assist with the delivery of equipment, documents, uniforms, or other necessary items to client locations when directed by JC Protection LLC management.

Employee Training & Performance

• Work with the JC Protection LLC management to coach, counsel, discipline, train, and manage working relationships with site Supervisors and Security Officers.
• Conduct on-the-job training for newly assigned employees in coordination with JC Protection LLC management.
• Provide additional training when post orders, procedures, client requirements, or site conditions change.
• Training responsibilities may include orientation to the post, review of post orders, routine duties and responsibilities, access-control procedures, emergency response protocols, and specific client requirements.
• Reinforce JC Protection LLC expectations regarding professionalism, attendance, punctuality, customer service, report writing, uniform standards, and employee conduct.
• Provide appropriate coaching and corrective guidance when performance deficiencies are identified.

Daily Operations & Employee Issues

• Address routine field operations issues and communicate policy changes, procedural updates, post-order changes, or other company information to Security Officers and site Supervisors.
• Identify personnel problems occurring at assigned posts, including payroll concerns, employee relations issues, complaints, scheduling problems, performance concerns, or other workplace matters.
• Promptly communicate and forward appropriate personnel concerns to the JC Protection LLC management.
• Maintain effective communication between client representatives, and JC Protection LLC management.

During Client, Emergency & Management Support

• Respond to client concerns, security incidents, and site emergencies as they arise.
• Ensure appropriate and timely communication regarding significant incidents or emergencies to JC Protection LLC management.
• Interact professionally with clients, Property Management, building personnel, Security Officers, emergency services, and members of the public.
• Assist with ensuring client concerns are appropriately documented, communicated, and addressed.
• Exercise sound independent judgment while following company policies and management instructions.
• Attend company, operational, supervisory, or client meetings via Zoom when required.

Field Security Supervisor Requirements

Because this position involves independently supervising Security Officers and representing JC Protection LLC management in the field, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Supervisory experience is required.
• Previous experience supervising Security Officers, conducting field inspections, or managing security operations is strongly preferred.
• Valid New York State Security Guard Registration Card.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must own a car or have reliable access to a vehicle for use during Field Security Supervisor assignments.
• Must be comfortable driving to multiple JC Protection LLC client locations throughout the five boroughs of New York City during an assigned Field Supervisor shift.
• Must be capable of safely operating a vehicle in New York City traffic and traveling between multiple client sites.
• Must maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Must maintain automobile insurance.

Vehicle Reimbursement

When the employee uses their personal vehicle for authorized JC Protection LLC business while performing Field Security Supervisor duties:

• Mileage reimbursement: $0.725 per authorized business mile driven.
• A company-issued E-ZPass will be provided for authorized bridge and tunnel tolls incurred while on duty and conducting JC Protection LLC business only.
• The company-issued E-ZPass is strictly for authorized business travel and may not be used for personal travel.
