As a Mechanical Engineer you will perform complex activities related to the design, testing and evaluation of mechanical systems of food equipment machinery. Interfaces with applications, sales, manufacturing, sourcing, and customers to define needs for new or custom features to be developed. May prepare mechanical engineering studies, specifications, and cost estimations. Performs product development activities including CAD layouts, calculations, and DFMEA to ensure the delivery of customer specifications. Assists with the solving of unique, mechanically related field problems. Works with manufacturing, sourcing, purchasing and suppliers to optimize the cost/value relationship of the mechanical systems being designed.
Essential Duties And Percent Of Time Spent

Requirements
Knowledge and Skills:
BS degree in mechanical engineering or similar field from an ABET accredited engineering program and zero to three years of relevant experience.
Language Skills
English fluency required. Can independently search for technical information. Ability to respond to inquiries from internal and external customers in a proficient and professional manner. Ability to write clear product specifications, project development plans and other forms of written correspondence.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts to accomplish job tasks. Must be computer literate, and capable of using spreadsheets, 3-D CAD and other software.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years in automatic, industrial manufacturing environment
Work Environment
Hybrid schedule in office 3 days minimum per week/2 remote.

- Lifecycle management of design data: create and check drawings, CAD models, ECNs, database management - 45%.
- Collaborate with cross functional internal customers to ensure design can be manufactured and sourced at best cost and value - 30%.
- Contribute technical and project management expertise in the testing, validation, and debugging of food equipment machinery - 10%.
- Perform detailed calculations to contribute to both the design and troubleshooting processes - 10%.
- Contribute to budgeting, scoping, scheduling of projects - 5%.
