Lean & Continuous Improvement
- Drive a culture of Lean and continuous improvement across the facility.
- Lead CI planning, training, and value-stream projects to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Partner with leadership to identify improvement opportunities and quantify cost savings.
- Lead Kaizen events and coach teams in Lean principles, problem‑solving, and standardized work.
- Develop and report on KPIs including OEE, quality, waste reduction, safety, and operating costs.
- Lead all safety programs and promote a strong safety culture.
- Conduct OSHA and chemical‑safety training; maintain and distribute MSDS documentation.
- Oversee emergency response planning, evacuation drills, and ongoing safety procedure compliance.
- Manage preventative maintenance schedules and equipment history.
- Oversee facility and equipment repairs, contractor management, and installation of new systems.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and security standards.
- Plan and supervise maintenance projects, budgets, procurement, and resource allocation.
- Support facility layout improvements to enhance production efficiency.
- Maintain driving record documentation and support DOT compliance.
- Manage approved contractor lists and required documentation.
- Coordinate annual inspections and maintain fire protection equipment inventory.
- Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
- Required:
- 3 years in a manufacturing environment
- Strong Lean manufacturing experience, including coaching, training, and strategy deployment
- Proven success leading CI projects and Lean transformations
- Formal Lean training/certification (Lean Engineer, Black Belt, or equivalent)
- Experience driving organizational change within Lean initiatives
- Manufacturing background with strong business results and increasing responsibility
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Preferred:
- 5 years in manufacturing or manufacturing engineering
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes and disciplines
