This position will be assigned to JBSA Fort Sam Houston Outdoor Recreation.
This is a Regular Part-Time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week, may work up to 40 hrs./week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Have excellent customer service experience. Must have experience which provides a working familiarity with the routines and procedures and and/or experience of recreational activities equipment, rules and procedures which involves recreational work in the area of specialty in which the position is assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
1. Able to operate a point-of-sale register system.
2. Knowledge of recreational activities, rules and procedures which involves recreational work in the area of specialty in which the position is assigned.
3. Be able to communicate effectively in English

Responsibilities:
Performs and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialist in the operation and maintenance of indoor and outdoor recreational facilities. Work alone or as a member of the work crew. Makes reservations and takes payments for authorized patrons based on availability of RV sites. Serves as a clerk, utilizing a Point of Sale System (POS) and maintains the Family Camp office and bathrooms cleaned. Ensures that all Patrons are aware of the Camp Ground rules and policies. As directed, conducts safety checks on equipment and facilities. Assists in maintaining the facility grounds and equipment to include bath houses & laundry rooms.
