Description: Ground Beef Quality Assurance Lead
Make sure product is made exactly to specification to insure customer satisfaction.
Ensure to follow company Standard Operation Procedures related to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points in order to guarantee the production of safe and clean products.
Ability to interact with QA techs regarding specifications and documentation
Strong leadership skill and proven ability to develop and train a world class team
Ability to work with managers at all levels of the organization, including government agencies
Ability to identify and correct opportunities as they arise
Ability to work with little or no supervision. The Ground Beef Quality Assurance Lead is a critical Quality Assurance position in the plant.
Ability to oversee Production Supervisors and hourly Quality Assurance technicians in all aspects of food safety and product quality for the ground beef area.
Knowledge and familiarity with regulatory requirements; working closely with both production groups and FSIS.
Ability to make decisions and to guide and advise production and QA techs when non-routine events occur.
Requirements
Education: Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 2-4 years background experience in numerous areas in a meat processing facility.
Special skill: Familiarity of meat inspection regulations
Computer and writing skills are importantdue to the technical nature of the position
General knowledge of how plant operates is important
Strong verbal skill essential
