Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload shipments using various material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and cranes.
- Utilize RF scanners for accurate order picking, inventory updates, and shipping & receiving documentation.
- Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting to move goods within the warehouse efficiently.
- Assist in inventory management by organizing stock, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring proper storage practices.
- Follow strict safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards to maintain a secure working environment.
- Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against orders.
- Operate warehouse equipment responsibly, including forklifts, clamp trucks, and heavy machinery necessary for load & unload activities.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, operations, or related roles with a focus on materials handling.
- Strong knowledge of order picker techniques and warehouse procedures.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and material handling machinery safely.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanners for accurate data entry.
- Basic math skills for measurements, weight calculations, and inventory counts.
- Excellent manual handling skills with an emphasis on heavy lifting while adhering to safety standards.
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes within a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices for warehouse safety protocol adherence.
