Marketing Assistant Intern

JBe Marketing Group is a boutique, full-service marketing and communications firm based in Wenatchee, WA. We serve diverse clients in Central Washington including technology, retailers, construction firms, nonprofits, governmental agencies, and community organizations. JBe also works with nationally recognized clients, delivering creative content, strategic marketing plans, and comprehensive public relations kits. JBe is the producer of INSPIRE Northwest™, an annual professional marketing and communications conference.

This is a short-term, part-time paid position with potential for growth and extension based on client needs. The Marketing Assistant will work directly with the JBe team on client projects including nationally recognized accounts and INSPIRE Northwest™ 2026. The position provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing, business development, public relations, and social media in a fast-paced boutique environment. We are looking for an extremely detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and professional team player who wants to work hard, have fun, and put their skills to work.

Hours: 20 hours per week    

Pay: $20/hour    

Duration: 12–14 weeks (August – October 2026)    

Location: Wenatchee, WA (in-person)    

Schedule: Monday–Thursday; occasional Fridays and weekends as needed

Business Development & Sponsorship Support

•     Research, prospect, and assist with lead generation for sponsors and team ticket sales

•     Build and maintain prospective mailing databases to support direct mail campaigns

•     Make daily phone calls to prospects and community contacts to set appointments for the JBe team

•     Support outreach efforts to potential new clients and community partners

•     Help set appointments and maintain organized prospect tracking

Social Media & Content

•     Support social media posts across platforms for JBe and client accounts

•     Read, analyze, and report on social media performance; identify opportunities to grow engagement and traffic

•     Follow and monitor relevant accounts, trends, and conversations in the Central Washington market

•     Produce at least one short-form video Reel or social video per month

•     Assist in capturing video content for clients and INSPIRE Northwest™

Event & Field Support

•     Help distribute marketing materials, including flyers and posters, at community locations

•     Support event logistics and on-site marketing activities as needed

•     Always Be an ambassador for JBe Marketing

Public Relations Support

•     Monitor and track media coverage, news stories, and articles relevant to JBe clients and INSPIRE Northwest™

•     Compile media clip reports and maintain an organized log of press mentions and earned media

•     Identify editorial opportunities and trending topics that could support client PR strategies

Administrative & Professional Development

•     Assist with general marketing paperwork, documentation, and project tracking

•     Learn and apply professional marketing tools used by the JBe team

•     Research and evaluate new applications, platforms, and technologies that could enhance marketing effectiveness or improve business operations

•     Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas in a collaborative environment

•     Recent graduate or current college student in Marketing, Communications, Business, PR, Digital Media, or a related field

•     Must be willing to run errands and provide on-site event support as needed

•     Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and thorough in all work produced

•     Enthusiastic, professional team player with a positive, can-do attitude

•     Active, curious social media user with an eye for content and storytelling

•     Strong written and verbal communication skills

•     Self-starter who takes initiative, follows through, and manages multiple tasks without prompting

•     Thrives in a fast-paced, community-focused boutique environment

•     Interest in video creation and/or short-form content is a plus

•     Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

•     Reliable transportation required; this is an in-person position

•     Real-world experience across marketing, business development, events, and digital media

•     Portfolio-ready work including social media content and an original video production

•     Mentorship from an experienced marketing professionals

•     Exposure to a diverse client portfolio and the Central Washington business community

•     Insight into the production of a regional professional conference (INSPIRE Northwest™ 2026)
