What are the responsibilities and job description for the FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY position at JBA International?
· Previous family law experience (preferred)
· Previous experience with Special Juvenile Immigrant cases (preferred)
· Current member in good standing with the Colorado bar
· Ability to build rapport with clients
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Draft correspondence and pleadings
· Conduct research and maintain competence
· Engage in client communication and counseling
· Conduct witness interviews and prep
· Prepare cases for discovery and trial
· Make court appearances
· Negotiate and draft agreements
· Communicate with opposing counsel and the courts
· Work closely with managing attorney, partner attorneys, other associates, and paralegals
· Develop case strategies and tactics to effectively represent clients
· Communicate consistently with clients
· Spanish speaking preferred*
