What are the responsibilities and job description for the Snow Removal Crew Member position at JB’s Landscaping & Lawn Care?
JB's Landscapes is looking to grow our team! We are looking for a strong, reliable, and eager individual who is willing to work with our snow removal team. The demands of this job revolve around snow and ice management during unpredictable hours - nights, weekends, and holidays included. You must be prepared to be called in when winter weather strikes.
Job Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable Availability - Do to the urgency of our customer's needs during the snow season, we have a mandatory attendance policy for all snow and ice events. Exceptions are made on an as needed, pre-approved basis only.
- Reliable Transportation
- Ability to, or interest in learning to operate heavy equipment.
- Experience in snow and ice removal preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right applicant!
Physical Demands:
- standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing, with the ability to be mobile throughout required work areas.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving items up to 50 lbs.
- Vision requirements: near and far visual acuity, color and depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and peripheral vision.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. In addition to these factors, the employee will be exposed to winter weather conditions such as extreme cold, wind chill, wind gusts, snowfall, ice, and other unpredictable environmental elements.
