What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at JB Enterprises Inc.?
Job Responsibilities:
· Under close supervision; sets up, operates, maintains, and monitors consistent operation of machines in aluminum brazing process; which include but is not limited to fin machines, washer, fluxer, and braze furnace.
- Maintains chemical concentration in aluminum brazing equipment
- Monitors and records process control data points on logs and charts
- Applies chemicals to product per established process
- Lifts and loads units to and from braze furnace
- Follows sequence of operations (SOP’s) and instructions throughout brazing process
- Measures parts, components, or product for dimensional accuracy
- Delivers completed product from current operation to next operation; may lift, use a pallet jack, hand lift, or other tool for transportation
- Has ownership of area for knowledge, cleanliness, operations of machines, and required maintenance per JB standards and rules
- Follows work instructions per ISO-9001 standards
- Follows safety OSHA and JB Radiator standards for machinery and conduct in manufacturing factory
Required Skills:
- Able to learn and become a machine expert
- Able to work quickly and efficiently in high volume manufacturing environment; environment may include moving mechanical parts, higher noise level, airborne particles, chemicals, high to low ambient temperatures
· Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions
- Able to operate a Windows OS computer, Word, Excel, and basic computer skills
- Able to use basic tools and mechanical skills; which may include tape measures, calipers, drills, screwdrivers, hand pumps, grinder,
Able to regularly stand, walk, use hands, lift, and move objects up to 50 pounds throughout shift. Able to see both near and far, have depth perception and ability to focus.
- Able to read a manufacturing drawing or documentation
- Able to operate machinery; machinery may include saws, rotary machinery, furnace, fluxer, and washer,
- Able to have attention to detail
- Able to perform simple mathematic and reasoning tasks
- Able to perform safety requirements while machine is operating or during lockout-tag-out procedures
·High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
