Charlotte is going off. We need someone to film it.

If you live in Charlotte, you already know — this is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. New restaurants every month, new neighborhoods rising out of nowhere, breweries, festivals, food halls, skyline cranes everywhere you look. We've built one of the fastest-growing voices in the market telling that story, and now we need a videographer/editor to help us tell it bigger, faster, and better.

We're hiring one person to own the camera and the edit bay for three brands:

• Realize Charlotte — our lifestyle channel across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. We cover what's opening, what's hot, what's moving in, what's happening this weekend, and how it all shapes life (and home prices) around the Queen City.
• The Jay White Team — one of the top-producing real estate teams in the Carolinas, selling 250–300 homes a year. Listing videos, neighborhood tours, agent content, client stories.
• Jay White's personal brand — recruiting-focused content aimed at real estate agents who want to grow their careers. Mindset, sales philosophy, team culture, "why join us," and day-in-the-life content. If Realize Charlotte attracts homebuyers and Jay White Team sells the houses, this is the brand that attracts the agents who do the selling.
  
  

This isn't a "press record on a tripod" job, and it's not just an editor seat either. We want someone who wants to help build a brand — bring opinions to the table, push on the creative, and own the work end to end. Real eye, real taste, real ideas about what makes a piece of content stop the scroll.

Responsibilities

• Shoot on location across the Charlotte metro — restaurants, neighborhoods, listings, events, new developments, breweries, your favorite hidden spots
• Edit everything you shoot — vertical for Reels/TikTok/Shorts, horizontal for Website
• Collaborate on visual style, pacing, and storylines — your creative input is welcome and expected
• Pitch ideas. Seriously. We want someone who walks into a Monday meeting saying "I saw this place open in NoDa, here's the angle"
• Capture listing videos and neighborhood tours that make people want to pack a U-Haul tomorrow
• Organize and upload content to shared folders in a clean, consistent way
• Manage your own shoot calendar, files, and timelines (we move fast — content has a shelf life)
• Stay current on platform trends
  
  

Qualifications

• A portfolio that punches. We want to see your work before we want to see your resume. Reels, TikToks, YouTube cuts, listing videos, brand work — whatever shows us how you think.
• Strong video editor with 2 years shooting and editing for social-first brands, agencies, or yourself (self-taught creators welcome — show us the work)
• Comfortable filming in a variety of environments — residential interiors, neighborhoods, city streets, indoors and outdoors, day and night
• An understanding that real estate content has to sell — entertainment is the wrapper, leads are the goal
