Position Summary
The Door Person is the first and last impression of every guest who comes through our doors. You will be responsible for greeting guests with professionalism, checking IDs, managing entry flow during peak times, and maintaining a safe, positive environment. You will be expected to balance friendliness with authority, ensuring both hospitality and safety standards are consistently upheld.
Key Expectations and Responsibilities
· Greet every guests with a welcoming and professional attitude
· Check IDs carefully to ensure all guests meet legal age requirements for entry
· Maintain awareness of guest behavior and crowd dynamics to set the bar for a safe environment
· Control entry flow during busy events and monitor guest capacity limits
· Communicate effectively with managers, bartenders, and other door people regarding guest issues or safety concerns
· Enforce house policies respectfully and consistently
· Assist with closing procedures, including ensuring all guests exit safely and the entrance area is secure
Experience Preferences and Requirements
· Previous door or security experience is preferred
· Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
· Calm, confident presence in high-energy or stressful situations
· Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
· Ability to consistently work nights, weekends, and during major sporting events
· Must be of legal age to verify IDs and handle alcohol service compliance
