Job Summary
The Ag & Turf Sales Representative plays a vital role in driving the success of the dealership’s agricultural equipment sales. Working closely with the Store Manager and fellow team members, this position is responsible for leading and executing the entire sales process—from initial customer contact through closing and long-term customer retention.
Role and Responsibilities
- Present and sell all makes and models of new and used agricultural equipment such as trailers, lawn mowers, tractors, and add-on attachments and accessories.
- Provide customers with detailed, accurate, and up-to-date product information tailored to their operational needs.
- Oversee and manage the complete sales process from lead generation through final delivery and follow-up.
- Establish and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with both new and existing customers, building confidence in the dealership and its product offerings.
- Identify customer needs and offer solution-based sales options.
- Manage customer inquiries and leads, responding promptly and professionally to grow the customer base.
- Meet and exceed individual and team sales goals.
- Collaborate across dealership departments—Finance & Insurance, Accounting, Operations, Service, and Parts—to support a seamless customer experience.
- Support the enforcement of consistent sales processes, including accurate collection and entry of customer data into the dealership’s CRM and management systems.
- Posting inventory and ongoing specials and events to the store’s social media pages.
- Keep an up-to-date list of units on Marketplace.
- Other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in agricultural equipment sales or related industry (power sports, marine, etc.).
- Proven customer service, organizational, and negotiation/closing skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, dealership management software, and Microsoft Office applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in sales or agriculture preferred.
- Knowledge of current ag equipment technologies, features, and applications is strongly preferred.
Schedule
- Tuesday - Friday, 9:00AM-6:00PM
- Saturday, 9:00AM-3:00PM, Saturday's are required
Compensation
- Base hourly rate, with a commission structure attached to sales.
