Lead Commercial Roofer (Traveling) – Government Projects
Location: Nationwide – Traveling Position
Employment Type: Full-Time (W2 Employees)
Pay Range: $29.00 – $38.00 per hour (based on experience) plus benefits

You’ll lead crews, drive production, and keep quality and safety tight. Roofing is the focus, and you’ll also be expected to help with key exterior scopes.
About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Lead Roofer for a traveling position. You will run day-to-day field operations on government projects while supporting roofing and other exterior tasks such as siding installation, gutter installation, and metal break/forming and exterior sheet metal work.
Per Diem & Travel
Per diem and travel expenses are paid by the company.**
Travel is required** (projects are across the country).
What You’ll Be Expected to Do (No Guesswork)
Lead Roofing & Exterior Production
Run the job**: coordinate tasks, keep the crew moving, and hit daily goals
Install to spec**: follow drawings/specs and make quality non-negotiable
Own the details**: edges, terminations, flashings, waterproofing, and finish work
Communicate clearly** with the project team and keep job documentation moving
- Quality, Safety, and Government Compliance
- Safety leadership**: PPE, fall protection, ladder safety, and jobsite rules
- Government site professionalism**: follow access rules and documentation requirements
- Punch list mindset**: find issues early, fix them fast, and help close out properly
Exterior Support (As Needed)
- Siding**
- Gutters**
- Metal break/forming exterior sheet metal work**
- Other exterior tasks as assigned
You’re a Great Fit If You Can Do This
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a lead/foreman/senior roofer**
- (commercial roofing or equivalent exterior work)
- You can work independently, not just “help”—you can lead the crew and execute
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing installation and best practices
- Ability to travel nationwide and show up ready to work on time
- Valid driver’s license
Bilingual Bonus
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus**—helpful for communication on multi-person crews and government sites
