Join our dynamic construction team as a Commercial, Industrial, Military, Correctional and Energy Construction Laborer. This work includes but not limited to fence construction, concrete, HVAC, electrical, as well as General Residential Construction work and be a vital part of building large-scale commercial projects! In this energetic role, you’ll assist with a variety of construction tasks, ensuring projects progress safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Your hands-on work will contribute directly to creating functional, durable structures that serve communities and businesses alike. Responsibilities
- Assist with reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to support project execution
- Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning materials and equipment safely
- Operate power tools and basic equipment for cutting, drilling, and assembling materials in accordance with safety standards
- Support heavy lifting operations using appropriate techniques and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow all workplace safety regulations, including OSHA safety standards, respiratory protection protocols, and climbing procedures
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with site/shop cleanup, material staging, and organization to maintain a safe and productive work environment
Experience
- Prior experience in industrial or commercial construction is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated newcomers
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, technical drawings, or construction plans is a plus
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and implementation of OSHA safety standards is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in an active work environment
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is advantageous but not mandatory
- Comfortable working at heights involving climbing or elevated platforms as needed for specific tasks
- Strong understanding of respiratory protection use and other personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
