Jax Truck Works is looking for an organized and motivated Parts & Service Coordinator to help manage the daily flow of our truck and RV repair operation.
This position will work directly with technicians, vendors, customers, and management to make sure parts are ordered correctly, estimates are followed up on, customer approvals are obtained, and repair jobs continue moving through the shop.
Responsibilities:
- Source and order truck, diesel, RV, chassis, and suspension parts
- Obtain pricing and availability from multiple vendors
- Verify part numbers using VIN, engine serial number, transmission information, and component numbers
- Receive and inspect incoming parts
- Track ordered and backordered parts
- Handle cores, warranty returns, and incorrect parts
- Maintain organized parts for each repair order
- Prepare parts pricing for customer estimates
- Contact customers for estimate approvals and repair updates
- Coordinate with technicians regarding parts and job status
- Keep repair orders updated
- Help schedule work according to parts availability and shop priorities
- Follow up on open estimates
- Help prevent vehicles from sitting unnecessarily because of missing parts or approvals
Requirements:
- Automotive, diesel, truck, RV, or equipment parts experience preferred
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Good telephone and customer-service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with technicians and vendors
- Ability to manage several repair orders simultaneously
- Knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts is strongly preferred
- Experience with repair-shop management software is a plus
- Must be dependable and detail-oriented
Pay: $25.68 - $30.92 per hour
