Position Overview:
We are a locally owned and operated full-service Classic and Muscle Car shop specializing in the repair, restoration and modernization of American muscle cars seeking a body man to join our team
This position works directly with the Shop Manager to create an exceptional experience for our customers engaged in the classic car hobby. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience. This role is responsible for helping the body shop team in prepping for paint or other body related repairs, which includes removing trim, moldings, windows, interior, door panels, seats, carpet, dash pads, etc. You must have experience with fitting panels, gapping, repairing metal, applying body filler, blocking panels and prepping for paint. Our ideal candidate needs to be organized, meticulous and have a high attention to detail. Experience in painting, and buffing are a plus. The ability to approximate and provide accurate time frames is necessary. The ideal candidate must be a team player.
We are a very well-equipped updated shop with very loyal customers, 2 downdraft baking paint booths, 8 bays, tire and wheel machines, an alignment machine, as well as multiple high-end fabrication machines. This is a full-time position, daytime Monday – Friday from 7:30 am-4:00 pm, which means no weekends! We use high quality materials and pride ourselves in doing work the right way. Essential Functions
· Manage yourself and work area in a way that supports the Shop Vision and Mission
· Install and adjust parts in the most productive way possible with guidance of senior employees.
· Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and resources with a constant commitment to customer service
· Proactively assess, clarify, and confirm vehicle needs
· Work closely with team members on best practices
· Observe, learn and focus on what senior body shop employees are teaching
· Follow safety practices and procedures
· Other Duties and Projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
· Experience in bodywork, panel replacement, gapping, fitting, and welding is required
· Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
· Professional set of mechanics hand tools. Specialty tools supplied.
· Strong autobody materials and methods knowledge
· Oral and written communication skills
· Valid driver’s license
· Must be able to work during summer, stand and work for periods of time, lift up to 35 lbs

Competitive Pay, Compensation based on experience.
