A CDL is preferred, but it is not required to apply. Qualified candidates may have the opportunity to receive training and support to obtain the licensing and qualifications needed to become a professional transit driver.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate JAX Mass Transit vehicles
• Transport passengers safely, courteously, and reliably
• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Assist passengers with boarding and accessibility needs
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Follow established routes, schedules, safety procedures, and company policies
• Help provide a safe and positive experience for every passenger

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• CDL preferred, but not required to apply
• Safe driving record
• Dependable and punctual
• Professional and customer-focused
• Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screening
• Commitment to safety and serving the community
