As a Physical Therapist in Jawonio’s Article 16 Clinic, you will help individuals with developmental disabilities build greater independence, mobility, and confidence. Your work directly contributes to improving quality of life and supporting each person’s ability to engage meaningfully in their daily routines, relationships, and community.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Elements
1. Provide person‑centered physical therapy services.
2. Maintain clear and meaningful documentation.
3. Collaborate across disciplines.
4. Offer guidance to care givers and support staff.
5. Promote a safe, welcoming therapy environment.
6. Support smooth clinic operations.
7. Participate in team discussions and professional collaboration.
Nonessential Elements
8. May help maintain a clean and organized clinic environment.
9. May assist with clerical or administrative tasks.
10. May participate in educational in‑service training for staff.
· Maintains a safe and orderly work environment.
· Performs other duties as required

Qualifications:Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Bachelor’s degree minimum required).
-NYS Physical Therapy License
Interrelationships:
- Builds supportive, collaborative relationships with consumers, clinical colleagues, and caregivers.
- Occasional communication with external partners.
Work Environment:
- Involves physical activity including lifting, bending, and supporting individuals during mobility training.
Special Requirements:
- Valid New York State Physical Therapist license.
