JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an Area Sales Manager, you are responsible for managing a team of Account Executives in a designated region and helping them achieve success- while also proactively identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities. You will be responsible for your team’s success but also driving revenue growth, market penetration, and operational excellence across your region. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and will be highly motivated by hunting for new business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coach, develop, and manage a team of Account Executives (AE) in designated region
- Develop new business and manage existing customers in office coffee, bars, and restaurants
- Utilize value-based selling to prospect and close new business and manage the full sales cycle
- Organize and effectively manage a potential customer funnel of targets
- Coordinate and execute training and marketing project support for Java House accounts
- Keep current with and educate potential customers on liquid coffee and specialty beverage trends
- Demonstrate a proactive mentality for setting sales goals and closing accounts
- Drive sales performance and revenue growth
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Sales, Marketing, or Business
- 5 years’ experience selling in specialty foodservice, Office Coffee Service (OCS), or Spirits preferred
- 4 years’ experience managing, coaching, and developing successful sales teams
- Ideal candidate will have knowledge in value-based selling and sales methodologies such as MEDDIC or MEDDPICC
- Demonstrated success and proven track record with new account penetration
- Must be able to travel assigned territory as needed
