Warehouse Specialist

Job Overview:

The Warehouse Specialist plays a critical role in managing all aspects of order fulfillment and ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of products throughout our distribution facility. This position is responsible for overseeing inventory documentation, fulfilling and processing orders, and supporting our delivery associates to maintain smooth and efficient operations.

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Key Requirements:

Order Fulfillment:

• Handle all matters related to order fulfillment, from receiving orders to preparing and dispatching products accurately and promptly.
• Work closely with the Distribution Specialist, who serves as the main point of contact for receiving orders directly from stores across New York State.

Inventory Management:

• Document and maintain accurate records of inventory movements, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
• Prepare and process incoming and outgoing orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

Order Processing:

• Create and manage manifests for outgoing shipments, ensuring all documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Confirm all products are labeled correctly and stored according to company standards.

Support Functions:

• Assist delivery associates by preparing upcoming orders and providing necessary documentation for deliveries.
• Perform regular inventory audits to maintain integrity and accuracy of inventory records.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Report regularly to the Distribution Manager.
• Work closely with team members to streamline distribution processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain open lines of communication with stores, delivery associates, and other departments to ensure smooth order fulfillment.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a warehouse or logistics role
• 1 year of experience with inventory/warehouse management software.
• Cannabis industry experience preferred.

Skills:

• Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bilingual abilities are preferred but not required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver license
• Must be physically present at the facility during working hours.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs safely.
