Audit & Assurance Manager

Responsibilities:
- Manage audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through issuance
- Perform risk assessments and develop audit strategies aligned with GAAP and firm standards
- Review workpapers, financial statements, and disclosures for accuracy and completeness
- Serve as the primary client contact across HNWI, trust, estate, gift, and business engagements
- Provide clear technical guidance and resolve accounting issues as they arise
- Train, supervise, and evaluate staff and senior accountants throughout engagements
- Improve processes, workflows, and engagement efficiency where needed
- Assist with proposals, scoping, and onboarding of new clients
- Stay current on accounting and regulatory developments that affect client work
- Build long-term client relationships and identify opportunities to add value
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Accounting; CPA required
- 8 years of tax experience in public accounting, including demonstrated review and advisory depth
- Strong technical expertise across business and individual returns, multi-state issues, and tax research
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver proactive planning, not just compliance
- Experience leading and developing staff; comfortable running engagements
- Organized, communicative, and capable of handling multiple deadlines with minimal supervision
