General Summary of the Position
Supports the accounting department in carrying out the accounting duties and responsibilities for Jasper Ventures, Inc. and affiliated companies. This role plays a crucial role in maintaining financial records, performing reconciliations, preparing invoices, and ensuring accurate and compliant financial operations within the organization. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (following are accountabilities included but not limited to):
- Prepare invoices and associated required documentation as directed.
- Assists with entry and management of Company credit card transactions as directed.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assists with monthly job costing of salaried employees and allocations of general expenses.
- Aids the accounts payable team as directed.
- Supports with monthly percentage complete calculations.
- Supports with federal tax compliance and external audit support.
- Ensures that all work is completed in a timely manner and a professional level of self-review.
- Communicates with employees, clients, and vendors in a professional and respectful manner, appropriately responding to their questions, concerns, and complaints.
- Other duties assigned to meet the needs of the business.

- Must be organized to maintain accounting records.
- Software used: Sage, QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- One or more years of experience in accounting in any industry is preferred.
- Willingness and ability to perform work under supervision, following verbal and/or written instructions.
- High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial data.
Work Context:
- Typically works in the Whitehouse office, in cubicle setting.
- Remote work available as assigned.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
