General Summary of the Position
Performs general day-to-day HR-related duties encompassing the entire employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and other HR functions as needed. Various HR functions include recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and compliance. They play a critical role in supporting the company's workforce by ensuring HR processes are executed effectively, maintaining compliance with regulations, and fostering a positive work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (following are accountabilities included but not limited to):
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process including posting, sourcing (internal and external), recruiting, screening (including administration of Culture Index surveys and typifying patterns), making recommendations on hiring, and onboarding.
- Oversee the selection process by posting open positions, monitoring candidate activity, reviewing applications/resumes, scheduling, and conducting interviews and selection testing, delivering employment offers and onboarding employees through the recruiting system.
- Works to source/identify, recruit, transition, and onboard highly qualified candidates for posted positions.
- Attend career fairs and mock interviews in partnership with various schools and organizations.
- Creates and revises job descriptions that accurately describe job duties and responsibilities of positions.
- Serves as main point of contact for Unemployment Claims and administration of TWC processes.
- Assists with payroll activities as needed and acting as backup for payroll.
- In addition to overseeing the selection process:
- Assists in development, documentation, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Assists in development and implementation of HR programs to create the best place to work.
- Executes various HR-related topics such as leaves, compensation, benefits, policies, etc.
- Helps plan and deliver HR-related communications and events (i.e. open enrollment).
- Protects the company by keeping information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Other duties assigned to meet the needs of the business.

Education, Training and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is required.
- Two to five years of experience in human resources is ideal, would consider relative experience in another field.
- Exposure to Applicant Tracking Systems and/or HRIS systems such as ADP is a plus.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential is a plus.
- Understanding of general HR policies and procedures.
- Understanding employment/labor laws.
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Outlook.
Work Context:
- Based at the Corporate Office in Whitehouse but may travel from to assist other locations with Human Resources matters.
- Will spend at least one day a week in our Troup, TX fabrication facility. While at this site, you will be exposed to an environment which could be exposed to dust, other particles, heat and humidity, and high noise level. All appropriate personal protective equipment will be provided in those situations.
- Quarterly visits to locations in Tulsa, OK or West Texas may occur.
