General Summary of the Position
Performs tasks involving physical labor in construction of skid mounted gas processing plants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (following are accountabilities included but not limited to):
- Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in fabrication and assembly projects.
- Operates a variety of hand and power tools.
- Maintains a clean job site; picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
- Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hoists materials.
- Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of the Foreman or Superintendent.
- Other duties assigned to meet the needs of the business.
Skills and Abilities:
- Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in construction.
- Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety procedures.
- Ability to work with team to complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, work in elevated areas, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
Education, Training and Experience:
- Any experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
Work Context:
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and other particles.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
- Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
- Noise level is generally loud.
- Must be able to quickly move arms and legs.
- Excellent stamina is required.
- Must be able to work in elevated areas.
