What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Room Supervisor position at JASPER GROUP?
Oversee the manufacturing and machining of furniture components while ensuring quality standards and safety procedures are consistently maintained throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor staffing levels and address workforce needs, including attendance, employee concerns, and UKG management.
- Review daily production schedules and adjust staffing and workflow priorities to meet production demands.
- Conduct regular floor walk-throughs to ensure employees are working safely, efficiently, and productively.
- Coordinate material availability and inventory needs for upcoming orders.
- Plan and stage workflow for daily and weekly production requirements, establishing priorities and sequencing work orders.
- Monitor rework items and follow up to ensure timely completion and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure materials, parts, and resources are delivered on schedule.
- Manage daily timecard corrections and scheduling updates within UKG.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
Preferred Qualifications & Training
- First Aid certification
- Forklift certification
- Lockout/Tagout training
- Leadership or supervisory training
- Experience with workforce management systems such as UKG
