As a member of the People Services Department, you will be responsible for HR Generalist functions at our Headquarters location in Jasper, Indiana, serving approximately 600 Associates. The People Services HR Generalist is a trusted partner for Leaders and Associates and helps support our People Services team providing day-to-day HR support and guidance.
The People Services HR Generalist owns core HR functions including Associate relations, performance management, and disciplinary processes, and acts as a point of contact for Associates regarding questions, concerns, and workplace guidance. They also will have weekly and monthly requirements to handle such as engagement conversations, onsite report out meetings, and new hire training. In addition, the HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting JASPER's growth and development plans. Responsibilities include organizing, scheduling, and selecting training for developing leaders, as well as managing annual training plans to support continuous learning and leadership development.

Hours/Schedule: 45 hours/week Mon-Fri, 7:30am-5:00pm
Key Responsibilities
Support day-to-day Associate needs such as answering questions and providing guidance
Support Leaders on performance conversations, documentation, and conflict resolution
Handle investigations and correct actions in alignment with company policies and employment law
Contribute to People JUMP (Jasper Unified Management Plan) initiatives to help with yearly improvements, retention, and company culture
Ensure compliance with company standards and policies for all Associate-Owners and leaders onsite
Own Jasper Engines’ growth and development plans
Comfortable speaking in front of groups and delivering training to Associates and Leaders
Help support recruitment activities such as career fairs and screening new applicants
Qualifications
3-5 years of HR experience required
Bachelor's in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
SHRM and/or HRCI Certification preferred
Strong working knowledge of HR fundamentals
Highly organized, detailed-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Clear, confident communicator who can work effectively with Associates at all levels
Excellent judgment and the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality
Comfortable operating in both structured and fast-changing environments
Proficient in Microsoft Office
