Financial Analyst: Reporting to the Divisional Controller, this position will provide critical business intelligence for Jasper’s production teams by offering sales, operational, and distribution reporting, as well as ad hoc analysis.
The individual would be responsible for preparing standard monthly journal entries, performing variance analysis, and contributing to the forecasting/budgeting process. This role provides strategic information to stakeholders and helps identify areas to drive improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Divisional Controller and team on tasks related to day-to-day accounting needs, month-end closing, and reporting.
- Analyze and report monthly results to all levels of management.
- Support the sales and branch operations teams as their primary financial analyst.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of financial reports to provide timely and meaningful insight into financial results.
- Lead a special project to improve our national account rebate process.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Three plus years of relevant work experience
- An advanced level of proficiency with data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools (i.e., Excel, Power BI)
- Experience extracting data and presenting meaningful data to key stakeholders
- Familiarity with accounting and production systems, and the ability to cognitively connect the data between the two
- High level of confidence and the ability to build credibility and influence others to drive and implement process improvement initiatives
- Candidates should possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Ability to work in both a team and an independent, fast-paced environment
